These courses are designed to provide the knowledge and skills which are necessary or desirable for students entering various courses of tertiary study. Studies indicate that the first year of university is the most critical period in determining the success of your career as a student. If you believe that you could do with assistance in your studies at university or beyond, or wish to improve your academic interests and skills, you may find a selection of courses from this program useful.
You may! Whether you are a new student enrolling in your first Undergraduate degree program or undertaking tertiary preparation via Open Foundation, Yapug, International Foundation or Newstep conducted by English Language & Foundation Studies Centre, you are most welcome.
The courses have been specifically designed to meet the needs of all students entering or continuing degree students at the University of Newcastle.
Courses are available at both the Callaghan and Ourimbah Campuses.
Please note that some courses have class size limits due to availability of equipment, academic teaching methods and room size, so don't delay your enrolment.
Free computer literacy courses will be available to enabling and undergraduate students at Callaghan and Ourimbah Campuses between 16-27 February 2009.
