At the University of Newcastle we are committed to helping students make the best use of studies already completed, by providing clearly defined credit transfer pathways between institutions. We want to help you get the qualifications you need to further your career, or follow your interests, with the minimum of extra study.

Credit transfer for units completed at other tertiary institutions

If you have previously studied at the tertiary level (e.g. TAFE, university) you may be eligible for credit towards your new degree program. As credit may have implications for your enrolment, please complete the Credit Application Form to apply for credit immediately. You will need to attach a certified copy of your results and course outlines for the studies you have undertaken. Please submit your completed application together with supporting documentation to one of the Hubs.

Maximum credit limits and currency of previous qualifications apply
It is important to apply for credit prior to enrolment as credit may affect your course selection
