Welcome to the Faculty of Business and Law at the University of Newcastle.

The Faculty of Business and Law strives for excellence in its research, teaching and learning and engagement with business and professional partners and the wider community. We are an innovative and dynamic research intensive Faculty that "makes a difference" by creating new knowledge, offering innovative degrees and preparing our students for global citizenship.

Within a supportive learning environment, our teaching and learning is research-led and student-centred, with a commitment to the life-long discovery of knowledge. Our curriculum is international in outlook. We prepare our students for global citizenship and encourage our students to 'make a difference' in their professional lives in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The Faculty is committed to access and equity for all students and celebrates and values the diversity of our students. We are an international Faculty, both in terms of our students from over 120 countries and our staff. We recognise a special commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Our research also makes a difference by contributing to the advance of knowledge in all discipline areas in the Faculty. Our research also strives to make a real difference by improving our socio-legal-business institutions; advancing human social and economic progress; and contributing to equity and justice at home and in the Asia-Pacific region.
