Computer Lab and Access Cards
NGSB students have two computer laboratories on Level 3 of University House. These labs can be used outside normal opening hours, including weekends. Hours of access are 5.00 AM to 11.00 PM Monday to Friday and 8.00 AM to 11.00 PM weekends and public holidays.
Access to the building is via an access card. Application forms are available from the School or City Hub. Please note that the security system is monitored by computer, and your entry and exit from the building is recorded. For your own safety ensure that you do not allow anyone else to enter the building with you. The card provides access into the building, via the lift on Level 3 and 4, and into the Level 3 computer laboratories.
Bookshop
The United Campus bookshop is available in the Student Hub at University House during the first two weeks of trimester between 4.00 PM and 6.00 PM, Monday to Thursday. Texts can also be purchased at the Co-Op Bookshop located at 4 Perkins Street, Newcastle (opposite David Jones).

Breakout Rooms
There are three study rooms available on Level 4 of University House for private study and/or group work. There is also a multi-faith room available for private use for students on Level 4.

Parking
Students who use the Conservatorium car park (Google Map ) will need to apply for a Conservatorium Car Park Validation Sticker which must be used in conjunction with a paid parking permit. There is no charge for this validation. Validation stickers are available from the City Campus Student Hub.
Callaghan Campus parking regulations apply in the City Precinct.
Amenities (Student Common Room)
NGSB students have use of a Student Common Room with kitchenette facilities and access to balconies. These areas are a No Smoking area in compliance with the University’s Smoke-Free Environment Policy.
Post Graduate Student Social Engagement
The NGSB organises a range of exciting activities for students throughout the year. These activities provide a great opportunity for you to meet other students and to form valuable friendships.
NGSB students are also eligible to for membership of the NGSB Alumni Network, a business and social group for past and present students to provide networking opportunities and peer support.
