Herman Tse is a lecturer in Management in the Newcastle Graduate School of Business (NGSB), University of Newcastle, Australia. He obtained his PhD (2006) in Management from the University of Queensland, Australia. His research interests include transformational leadership, relational leadership, emotions in teams and multi-level issues in organisations.
As an early career researcher, Herman has published several articles in internationally respected journals such as the Leadership Quarterly, the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, the Group and Organization Management and the Australian Journal of Psychology. His work has also appeared in two important books including Research Companion to Emotions in Organizations (Edwin Elgar) and Research on Emotions in Organizations (JAI Press/Elsevier Science), respectively.
Herman has won the "2006 Kenneth E. Clark Research Award" in leadership, the Centre for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. He has also obtained the "Outstanding Reviewer Award" from the Organizational Behaviour Division at the 2006 annual meeting of Academy of Management, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. In 2005, he was the recipient of "Overall Best Paper", "Best Paper in the Leadership Track" and "Best Doctoral Student Paper" awards at the annual meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, Canberra, ACT, Australia. In addition, his dissertation has recently been selected for the "2007 Best Doctoral Dissertation Award" at the annual meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, Sydney, NSW, Australia, and it was also recommended for the Graduate School "Dean's List" of the 2006 outstanding doctoral dissertations at the University of Queensland, Australia.
Aron O'Cass is Chair Professor of Marketing the Newcastle Graduate School of Business (NGSB), University of Newcastle, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing, a Master of Business majoring in Marketing and a PhD in Consumer Behaviour. His research interests include brand management, export marketing, service marketing, customer values and cross culture marketing.
Professor O'Cass has published over 150 research papers on issues related to brand perceptions, consumer behaviour, political marketing, voter behaviour, export marketing, fashion, organizational learning & innovation, sustainable competitive advantage and numerous other issues.
His publications appear in journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Product & Brand Management, Journal of Vacation Marketing, Journal of Advertising and the Journal of Consumer Behaviour and others.
