Master of Professional Accounting
Combining an introduction to business with an emphasis on accounting principles, this program provides non-accounting qualified students with an opportunity to practice and manage within this industry. With the leadership and relationship management skills taught, you'll gain the potential to become a sought-after financial adviser.
The Master of Professional Accounting program is designed for students with a degree in a field other than accounting who wish to obtain a sound introduction to accounting concepts and procedures. The program will encompass studies in:
- Financial and management accounting
- Finance
- Taxation
- Business law
- Auditing
The program is structured to satisfy the Guidelines for Joint Accreditation of Tertiary Courses by the Professional Accounting Bodies (May 2005) issued jointly by CPA Australia and The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), and the Core Curriculum Areas (2004) issued by the ICAA.
Graduation from an accredited accounting program facilitates initial entry to Associate membership of CPA Australia and (subject to employment and supervision requirements) eligibility for enrolment in the ICAA's CA Program.
Students completing the program will meet the academic requirements for Associate membership of CPA Australia and enrolment in the CPA Program, and for enrolment in the Chartered Accountants Program of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance
Students have the option of enrolling in a graduate certificate program to begin their experience with postgraduate study. The graduate certificate requires students to complete four courses within their chosen area of study to qualify for the award, where they can then use this knowledge as credit towards the completion of the masters qualification for that or, in some cases, another area of study.
The graduate certificate option exposes students to the benefits and rewards of postgraduate study and allows you to receive incremental recognition of your achievements along the way. It provides students with the ability to explore their interest in further study of an area without requiring a long term commitment.
