Research Students (RHD)
Current Topics
We have developed a range of initiatives to foster and encourage student research, from Undergraduate opportunities through Honours, to Research Higher Degrees. These include various Support Schemes and Scholarships, the Science & IT Honours & Research EXPO, and the provision of information resources such as this.
Generally the more advanced you are in your research training, the more you determine the direction of your research. Undergraduates getting their first experience will be assisting experienced researchers on pre-defined topics, while RHD students will negotiate their topics with their supervisors.
The following documents list a range of topics that have been identified as being of interest to the various research units in the Faculty, and you will see many of these activities reflected in the brochures of our Research Centres and Groups. If you are interested in any of these specifically, or would like to discuss a variation on them, or would like to propose your own topic, please contact the appropriate staff member or request more information via the online enquiry form.
