Foundation Scholars

The University of Newcastle Foundation scholarships were an initiative of Mr Jeff McCloy who, in his past role as Chair of the UoN Foundation, suggested that scholarships should be the principle function. He made a personal donation of $100,000 to the cause and asked the University to match it. Since that time, UoN Foundation scholarships have been awarded every year to outstanding students who have won a place at the University of Newcastle. These scholarships are highly prized and have produced a number of very distinguished scholars.
