The University of Newcastle Family Action Centre is hosting a two-day workshop to provide training in how to support people who are at risk of suicide.
The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop trains people to provide 'suicide first aid' to identify and respond to people in need of support and reduce the immediate risk of suicide.
The workshop is being conducted by Lifeline and is supported by the Department of Health and Ageing.
Registration forms are available by emailing brian@lifelinehunter.org.au.
