 Web Access Research Portal (WARP)

The general public and our researchers can now view research-related data (publications and grants) via the Web Access Research Portal (WARP).

Level 1 WARP provides access to research data for the general public by entering a keyword or a researcher's name. The data supplied in each report includes successful grants, publications data and general information relating to the researcher’s skills and expertise.

Level 2 WARP provides researchers with details of their own research activity including outstanding reports for internal grants on which they are named as a Chief Investigator, all grants on which they are named as a Chief Investigator (submitted, successful and unsuccessful), and individual publications data. Access to Level 2 WARP is restricted to University of Newcastle staff members only.

Researchers Financial Reporting System

In 2008 Financial Services have updated the chart of accounts which has resulted in the research account numbers changing from the format used in 2007 and earlier.  As a result of this, the Researchers Financial Reporting System is no longer operational.  For all research balance enquiries please contact a member in the Research Accounting team within Financial Services (below) or look up the balance using the new finance system, TechnologyOne Financials (v11.3).  The staff in the Research Account team are (as at 7/1/08):

Research Statistics

The links to the left will provide statistical details and reports on the University of Newcastle's research performance. A University Research Time Series is available for general public access. All other research statistics are only available to readers with a University of Newcastle computer account. For further information contact the Research Integrity and Development Unit.
