Pharmacy & Experimental Pharmacology
The Discipline of Pharmacy and Experimental Pharmacology was formed in August 2005, following the amalgamation of the Discipline of Pharmacy and the Discipline of Experimental Pharmacology. The new Discipline demonstrates the importance of the interaction between the basic pharmacology and pharmacy. The Master of Pharmacy Program resides within the Disciplines, while the academics within the Discipline teach pharmacology and quality use of Medicines across many areas of the University, including Biomedical Science and Nursing programs. Research interests within the Discipline extend across a number of different areas in particular nutriceuticals, quality use of medicines, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical analysis, palliative care, pharmacology of brain injury during fetal development and the cause(s) and treatment of schizophrenia.
