Recipient of the 2008 Pro Vice-Chancellors Award for Research Excellence: Dr Kristian Krabbenhoft
Dr Kristian Krabbenhoft is one of two recipients this year to be awarded the Pro Vice-Chancellors Award for Research Excellence. This award aims to encourage and recognise the achievements of early and mid-career researchers. Research excellence is judged relative to career opportunity and candidates are judged by several criteria including: the originality of the research, the quality of the research output, the impact of research success in attracting research funds, success in research higher degree supervision, peer recognition and finally, track record relative to opportunity.
The quality of candidates was excellent, and therefore it is a significant achievement indeed to have been selected for this award. Dr Kristian Krabbenhoft  will be presented with his award at the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment Graduation Ceremony in October.
