Choosing your Courses

Choosing courses to match your goals can be daunting when there are so many options. For each degree program or major there is information on this website that gives general guidance to help you identify the courses you need to take as part of your program, and what electives will complement your chosen direction. Academic and administrative staff with expertise in your program should be contacted if you have any questions.

Exercise & Sport Science

General information, course pathways and a program checklist is available via the following link. There is also information about an Accreditation Sequence from the list of directed courses for students who wish to seek membership and accreditation with the Australian Association of Exercise & Sport Science (AAESS) when they graduate.

Marine Science; and
Sustainable Resource Management

All majors in the Bachelor of Science have "Suggested PATHWAYS" developed by the Program Convenors to give general guidance about course choices. Academic staff should be consulted to refine these to suit your personal needs.

Suggested PATHWAYS

Some Suggested PATHWAYS documents have been developed for the Bachelor of Science and the Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science to give an indication of sets of courses meeting program requirements that will prepare students for particular careers. They are not the only sets of courses that will take students to the same careers, and they are not the only careers these sets of courses will prepare students for.

Pathways and program checklists specifically for the Marine Science major and the Sustainable Resource Management major are listed below. We will be expanding this to cover other programs, however if you would like similar information in the interim your Program Convenor is here to help.
