Older Person Research Program

Leads: Professor Isabel Higgins and Professor Tina Koch

Founded in 2005, the Older Person Research Program is active in research and education in older person care. This dynamic group, led by Professor Isabel Higgins and Professor Tina Koch, encapsulates many years of experience with patient care, education and academic accomplishment.

Currently, the program has developed a strong link with the University of South Australia and secured funding to conduct research regarding communication, social networks and identity of people living with dementia. In a separate study, the program is addressing the issues of health and wellness for older Australians joining the trend of travelling and living on the road. These studies are the latest in an impressive history of research and publications.
