Postgraduate Coursework Students
For students seeking a career as a professional psychologist the School of Psychology offer a two-year Masters program in Clinical Psychology or three-year Professional Doctorate programs in Clinical Psychology and combined Clinical and Health Psychology. These programs provide students with dedicated coursework together with extensive clinical placement and research experience, preparing our graduates for careers as clinical or health psychologists.
Placements are offered through the Psychology Clinic and with conjoint academic staff who are practicing psychologists in Hunter, New England and North Sydney Area Health Services as well other health organisations and private practices.
The Graduate Diploma in Psychology will provide students with a 4th year in Psychology that satisfies the requirements for accreditation by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). The Graduate Diploma allows students to develop advanced research and pre-professional level skills though is not an honours program and does not provide entry into Coursework and Research degrees.
The Graduate Certificate of Aviation Management and the Master of Aviation Management are designed to meet a recognised demand in the aviation industry, and is provided through a flexible delivery mode to meet the needs of students with interests in specific areas of aviation human factors and management.
