Postgraduate Coursework Students

A range of courses has been developed within the Educational Studies programs within the Faculty of Education and Arts for students interested in Aboriginal Education. They have been designed to meet the growing demand for professional development of practising teachers/educationists who are currently working, or planning to work, with Indigenous Australians in the empowering fi eld of learning, in the community, schools, TAFE or higher education. Degree Programs on offer in this area include a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies and Master of Educational Studies.

A range of courses has also been developed within the Social Science programs within the Faculty of Education and Arts for students interested in Aboriginal Studies. These courses have been developed by the University of Newcastle to meet the growing demand for professional development of practising individuals who are currently working, or planning to work, with Indigenous Australians with the view to enhancing genuine Aboriginal capacity building. Degree Programs on offer in this area include Graduate Certificate in Social Science and Master of Social Science.
