Many major companies will be advertising and recruiting for their graduate programs throughout the academic year. These programs are aimed at people studying in their final year, who will be able to commence work in the following year. Some of these companies will have closing dates in the first semester.

Research companies you are interested in - their business, their recruitment process, appropriate contact details. Start with publications like Graduate Opportunities to see who recruits people with your degree. Company web sites also often contain recruitment details.
