Accounting and Finance Careers Cocktail Evening

The Careers Service and the Faculty of Business and Law are hosting an Accounting and Finance Careers Cocktail Evening on Thursday 13th March 2008.

If you are a second or third year Commerce, Finance or Economics student you are invited to come along for the chance to meet and talk to representatives from a number of diverse organisations in your field. Attendance is FREE.

When: 6pm to 8pm on Thursday 13th March 2008.
Where: Purdue Room (part of the Great Hall on Callaghan Campus)

The evening will begin with a series of short presentations (10 minutes each) from people working in a variety of Accounting and Financial roles:

A global accounting career presented by KPMG
Financial markets presented by Newcastle Permanent
The trainee experience presented by PricewaterhouseCoopers
Where can a graduate program take you in banking? presented by ANZ
Working in a medium sized regional accounting practice presented by Lawler Partners
Using your financial/accounting expertise in the government sector presented by the Australian Taxation Office

Representatives from the following organisations will also be attending the night and will be available to chat to, while wine and cheese is served, following the presentations:
