Families SA has a leadership role in the protection of children and keeping them safe. We are looking for innovative and professional people who have an interest in the challenges involved in improving the capacity and well being of individuals, families and communities in South Australia.
As a Social Worker, you will work within a legislative and case management framework using your specialist skills to undertake investigations and holistic assessments; using social work models to inform interventions; and responding to crisis situations.
These rewarding jobs will give you the opportunity to make a difference by working closely with children, young people and their families. You will be part of a strong local team that builds strong links with the community and other government and non-government agencies.
Job Requirements: Applicants must possess an appropriate degree in Social Work or relevant qualification in a related field. If you have a relevant qualification in a related field, we will provide training and development in the area of Child Protection. Training is provided through the Department’s College for Learning and Development, which is a registered training organisation.
All applicants must have a current driver’s licence and a willingness to drive.
Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a Background Screening & Criminal History Check prior to being employed.
Part-Time, Full-Time and Casual positions are available. People of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, are eligible and strongly encouraged to apply, Closing date: 3/10/2008.
