Technical Officer

This position reports to the Haztech Northern Manager and will be based in Heatherbrae with great opportunity for career progression. This role is operationally focused with key focus on assisting with the characterisation and disposal of hazardous waste. The position will be responsible for researching, coordinating and compiling specific information relating to contracts and other business activities. You will also be a central data point for distribution and recording of information, and will also be required to maintain the technical database. The position is a hands on customer focused role and as such chemical handling experience would be an advantage. There will be a requirement for limited travel in this position through the administration of various contracts.

The successful candidate should have:

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
High level computer skills including Access, Excel, Word and Flow Charts. Internet proficiency in programming/data searching an advantage;
Tertiary qualification or near completion in Chemistry, Environmental Science or equivalent;
Must be a self starter and able to work autonomously.
Exposure or an interest in Waste Management or Environmental Management.
