AUSTRALIAN NEW ZEALAND BREAST CANCER TRIALS GROUP

The ANZ BCTG is Australia's national organisation dedicated entirely to breast cancer research. It conducts a high quality clinical trials research program which is internationally renowned and recognised.

As the Recruitment & Promotions Officer you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for the promotion of recruitment to breast cancer prevention clinical trials across Australia and New Zealand. You will develop a strong understanding of prevention trials and implement approved recruitment strategies for these studies to ensure patient recruitment goals are met.

To be eligible for this role you require:

Relevant university degree e.g. communications, public relations, education or similar, plus relevant demonstrable experience

High level organisational, interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrable ability to build and develop strong working relationships

Strong motivation, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work within appropriate deadlines

Excellent attention to detail and effective problem solving skills

Demonstrable high level computer skills including word processing and data entry, and experience using spreadsheet, desktop publishing and database software in a Windows environment

Ability to maintain high work standards with minimal supervision

Demonstrable ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Proven administrative skills, and the capacity to participate effectively at all administrative levels

Commitment to research and interest in breast cancer research

Clear understanding of and commitment to the importance of confidentiality

Ability to travel interstate and overseas as required

Current driver’s license

Note: Training will be provided, however prior experience in clinical trials recruitment and a familiarity with medical terminology is desirable.

Salary: Range $55,674 to $61,431 per annum depending on qualifications and experience

Duration: Fixed term basis for 12 months

Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm per day with an accrued day off per month
