YEAR IN INDUSTRY OPPORTUNITIES

 

The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, ANSTO, will again be conducting their Year in Industry Internship Program in 2009. Based in Southern Sydney, ANSTO is currently seeking applications from undergraduates to take up internships during 2009. The program provides a relevant industry based learning opportunity for students to apply theory and skills to the workplace.

 

There are various internships offered with engineering and science students majoring in the following areas invited to apply:

 

• Environmental science/Ecology

• Earth Science

• Chemistry

• Environmental Science

• Physics

• Science/marketing

• science/business

• science/communications

• science/commerce

• science/creative arts (graphic design or web)

• Chemical Engineering

• Science Engineering

• Occupational Health & Safety

• Safety & Environment

• Mechanical / Electronic / Electrical / Mechatronic

• Materials Science

 

Our Year in Industry Internship program (YII), is open to University students who have completed 2 years of a 3 year degree, or have completed 3 years of a 4 year degree. To be eligible you will have at least one full year’s study remaining in your undergraduate degree at the completion of your internship at ANSTO.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants will require a security and medical assessment and must be a penultimate year University student. The program is available only to students at Australian universities who have appropriate Australian work rights.
