UniBreak Volunteer is designed to give students the opportunity to combine travel with meaningful volunteer work in developing countries for 4-12 weeks during their end-of-year or mid-year semester breaks.

 

Job Description : The placements are tailored to fit in with mid-year or end-of-year university breaks and give students a chance to broaden their horizons by combining life experience with cultural immersion and personal development. This year the UniBreak Program is placing volunteers in destinations such as India, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Nepal, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador.

 

 

Job Requirements : Volunteer work is on a grassroots community level and students may assist local communities teaching English, building schools, working with orphans and street kids, on community construction projects, in juvenile justice centres, and a wide array of other community initiatives. Students with a medical or nursing background may observe and assist local staff in community clinics, hospitals, on mobile medical vans and on other health programs. Students choose their destination, departure date and duration.

 

Prices start from $1750 for 4 weeks, $1950 for 6 weeks, $2150 for 8 weeks and $2550 for 12 weeks. Standard inclusions: personal interview, comprehensive pre-departure information, pre-departure workshop, meet and greet on arrival, transfers to and from airport, full board and accommodation, orientation, project placement, support, guidance and assistance for the duration of the placement, 24 hour back-up and support by Antipodeans Abroad in Australia, 24 hour back-up and support by our In-country Agent.
