Sports Program Assistants

 

We are currently looking to recruit students studying or with experience in early childhood or PE/PD/Health related fields to work within our program.

 

Primarily the aim of our program is to deliver fun, sport and skill based sessions for children 3-7 years and their parents/carers. 

 

The program will initially focus on fostering soccer skills with a view to expand the program to incorporate other sporting codes such as basketball, rugby and rugby league. 

 

Program:  Jungle Sports Newcastle

 

Hours:  Saturday mornings during school terms 9am for approximately 2-3 hrs. (Possible Sunday mornings also)

 

Venue:  The Forum, University of Newcastle

 

Skills/Qualities:  We are looking for enthusiastic and sports minded persons with excellent interpersonal skills who have the ability to interact well with children and adults alike.  Ideally this person will have skills and experience and/or be studying a field relevant to delivering sports programs for 3-7 year olds (Early Childhood, PE/PD/Health)

 

Pay rate:  Depending on skills and experience but a base rate of $20/hour
