Elections

Elections are conducted by the University Secretary (as Returning Officer) for various positions on University bodies (Councils, Committees, Boards etc). Many other bodies conduct their own elections for positions on those bodies. The list to the left only deals with those elections undertaken by the University Secretary (Deputy Vice-Chancellor [Services]).

Current Vacancies on Council

• A ballot has been declared for the position of postgraduate student member of Council
• A ballot has been declared for the position of undergraduate student member of Council

The call for nominations for the four members of Convocation has closed and will be considered by Council.

Recent Council Results

• A result is now posted for the election of one non academic staff member to Council for the term of office 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2010.
• A result is now posted  for the election of two academic staff members to Council for the term of office 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2010.
