Computer Accounts

CCH Internet Account

Your CCH Internet Account allows you to access Internet sites via computers hooked up to the Central Coast Health network. Students based at CCH as part of their course may apply for this account. This account is issued, monitored and managed by Central Coast Health, not the University.

  1. Read the CCH Internet Policy. You must use a computer on the CCH Intranet to access the policy at
    http://intra01.ccahs.health.nsw.gov.au/it&t/policies/internetpolicy.pdf (Note - this link will only work from a CCH Intranet computer).
  2. Complete a CCH Internet Account Request form. You must use a computer on the CCH Intranet to access the request form at
    http://intra01.ccahs.health.nsw.gov.au/it&t/Forms/Internet_account_request.pdf (Note - this link will only work from a CCH Intranet computer). The policy and form are also available from the Gosford Hospital Library.

    It is important that students applying for this account understand that accessing the Internet via the NSCCH network is closely monitored by NSCCH, and that "acceptable use" is defined far more narrowly than as is done at the University. Breaches may result in an account being terminated.
  3. Submit your form to your course coordinator.

    Your course coordinator will authorise the form, and submit it to IT&T for the account to be created.
  4. Contact IT&T to set your password.
    IT&T may be contacted by phone on 4320 3777 (or x3777 if calling from on the hospital campus). Allow 3 days from when you submit your form, for the account to be created. USERNAME : "s" followed by your student number. eg. s3012345
    PASSWORD : as set by you with IT&T

You can change your CCH Internet Account password at
http://intra02.ccahs.health.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/chpasswd.cgi (Note - this link will only work from a CCH Intranet computer). Changing your CCH Internet password WILL NOT change your University of Newcastle computer account passwords (ie. no change to Blackboard, Studentmail, NEWCAT passwords etc.).

Journal Article Requests

Students may request copies of articles in print journals held at other University of Newcastle Libraries. This service is currently free of charge ONLY for students based at the Gosford Hospital campus.

You should expect to wait up to a week to receive your requested article

Students from other campus should request articles using the forms provided by the Callaghan campus & Ourimbah campus.Photocopying

Black and white A4 size photocopying is available in the Gosford Hospital Library, for 11c per copy.

Although the charge system is the same as at the other campuses, credits added at Gosford can only be used at Gosford. Likewise, credits added at the other locations are not available for use in the Gosford Hospital Library.
