Hi, have not been able to renew books, since ~10:30 pm Saturday night-get message: "Your record is in use by system. Please try again later." But when I tried again after several pre-midnight attemps- I still cannot renew, but I have now incurred fines. Surely the system should recognise the renewal. On top of this the library is not open on Sunday(today) so the fines will continue to accumulate. I do not consider this process very fair. Could you please look into some form of redress.
Kind regards
George
The problem will be looked into.

Hello Feedback People,
I was at the Auchmuty this afternoon & couldn't find on the shelf a copy of; Elliott, Jane, Using narrative in social research : qualitative and quantitative approaches, Sage, 2005 (call no. 300.72 ELLI). The status was set as IN LIBRARY, so I asked at the desk and it turns out that it might be a new copy. I asked if I could reserve it but it turns out I can't reserve a item when its status is "in library" - so it seems I'm stuck. Could you get back to me with a work around.
Many thanks,
Richard
Hi Richard
I have had a look for the book unfortunately it could not be located, we will keep looking for the book and if found we will place it on the 24 hour hold shelf and notify you by email.

Are there any plans to extend the library's opening hours on the weekend? The AIC is open, however, considering so many people use it after 5 on the weekends, studying becomes impossible either because there are no places to study, or it is too noisy (which is the general problem with studying in the AIC). Would it be possible for the library to open under study hall conditions after 5 on weekends? This would assist students who really need to study after these times on the weekend.
Unfortunately there are no plans at the present time to open the library longer on the weekends. The additional costs of extended [ more ]hours would need to be included in the operating budget. However it is a good suggestion and one we will investigate. Thanks for your feedback.
