I was wondering if there were any plans to establsh an AIC/CHIC style
Information Common that would operate extended hours at the Ourimbah
campus. I think many users based at Ourimbah would find this facility a
great benefit for their studies - especially if there were extended
after hours access such as now exists at the AIC and the Chic. Thanks

Why is it that, of all people, some staff have difficulties in respecting quieter areas in the library? Considering the amount of truly quiet areas are few and far between it is exceptionally frustrating when a staff member of all people decides to have a conversation with another person. If everyone else can respect the other partons by whispering then i am sure the library staff can as well.

tryed to renew my loans on-line but it didnt work. "Your record is in use by system. Please try again later."
why offer this service if it can only be used certain hours….used the last of my pre-paid credit in an attempt to renew items but was told barcode was incorrect (used 2 different numbers and tryed them more then once)
so due to this i am now going to have fines!!
It sounds like you were trying to renew you Library books during a system back up, please complete a fine waive form at the loans desk to have your fines waived.

I received a notice on my student mail today to say i was over due with the loan of a Ninian Smart book, with a further fine incurred. I returned this book yesterday to the Huxley library and do hope that I will not be charged accordingly. Thank you. Robyn

I am disappointed in the monitoring of the computers in regard to noise. I stay at the library after uni and on my breaks and find i am getting little done because of people on phones, having casual chats, surfing the web for things like U-TUBE etc etc etc.
There are many students who are frustrated with this reoccuring problem. Please FIX IT!
Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure which Library you use most frequently but each Library has some quiet study space. In the Auchmuty Library reading room 1 & 2 has quiet individual study space. The Huxley Library has individual study space on the lower level and the Ourimbah and City Precinct Libraries also have designated individual study spaces.
The AIC is a very busy environment and has seating for 250 people, so there is a lot of noise generated and it is a phone friendly environment. Hpowever if you think the noise is excessive ie someone listening to /watching without headphones then you can ask the AIC desk staff to talk to the other patron about the noise levels.
