I had an item on hold this week and I received a Library Notice telling me the item was missing.
The other two copies of this item are now out with multiple holds.
I am now not able to access this item for a seminar paper without purchasing it.

NEWCAT, on finding a requested item is missing should immediately reserve one of the other copies of the same item for the student.

Is the film 791.4372 PRIN-3 lost? I have requested it a couple of months ago and it still appears IN TRANSIT…

We are aware that the DVD has been in transit for some time and our shelves have been searched on several locations to try and locate the item.bA replacement copy has been ordered for the collection.

It seems that the book record 512.9434/6 has the wrong summary, credits, etc. It's a mathematics book but the summary refers to a movie with Warren Beatty.

The incorrect information and headings from the record have been removed in NewCat. Apparently this is a technical problem to do with the merging of records at the National level.
Libraries Australia has been informed regarding the record and in time the corrected record should be overlaid into our system.

Why is it that, of all people, some staff have difficulties in respecting quieter areas in the library? Considering the amount of truly quiet areas are few and far between it is exceptionally frustrating when a staff member of all people decides to have a conversation with another person. If everyone else can respect the other partons by whispering then i am sure the library staff can as well.
