Information Desks
This page provides online support to compliment the services provided by the Information Desks. Our role is to:
- Support for the University Computing Laboratories and associated IT services for staff and students of the University.
- Provide a comprehensive reference and research service for library users and members of the University community.
Auchmuty, Huxley, City & Ourimbah Information Desks
Services Include:
- Basic assistance with the University computing facilities and services including: electronic mail services, printing facilities, on-campus network access, remote access, use of computer laboratories, wordprocessing, spreadsheets and internet-browsing help.
- Instruction in the use of the library catalogue, print and electronic information resources.
- Assistance with database searching including advice on search terms and strategies.
- Assistance with research needs by identifying relevant resources.
- User guides, publications, help sheets & instructions.
- Passwords for computing access, databases & electronic journals.
- IT and library training sessions - timetables and bookings.
- Information on and referal to other library and IT services (but not limited to!).

CT Information Desk
Services Include:
The CT Information Desk provides comprehensive IT services and support for the University Computing Laboratories.
Please direct IT phone enquiries to this desk.
- Assistance with the University computing facilities and services including: electronic mail services, printing facilities, on-campus network access, remote access, use of computer laboratories, wordprocessing, spreadsheets and internet-browsing help.
- User guides, publications, help sheets & instructions.
- Passwords for computing access.
- IT and library training sessions - timetables and bookings.
- Information on and referal to other IT and library services (but not limited to!).
- Basic disk and file recovery or translation.

Please remember, staff at the Information Desks will endeavour to help with basic computing services, however you still have to complete your own work. If you are having problems doing an assignment, you should first see your lecturer or tutor.
Modem Help Line
Services Include:
- Assistance with dial-in access to the University for staff and students.
- Support with setup and connection to the University internet services.
