The University Library has been running the Library Client Survey since 2002 and averaged about 4000 responses from our last review in 2006. Formerly called the Rodski Survey, it is coordinated by Insync, a Behavioural Research Group that has been analysing the performances of various Australian University Libraries for a number of years. The custom designed questionnaire investigates student and staff levels of satisfaction with the facilities and equipment on offer, service quality and delivery, and the performance of library staff.
Once the survey has been completed and the results analysed, the data will be compared against a global business excellence framework. The performance of University of Newcastle Libraries will be benchmarked with other Australian Universities who have participated in the survey. The questions asked are therefore consistent with other surveys to enable a comprehensive set of data to which we can compare our service to you with other participating universities.
The survey will be available to complete from Monday August 18 until Sunday August 31, either online or in hard copy form at the Auchmuty, Huxley, Ourimbah, City and Port Macquarie Libararies.
