Jon Dee - the founder of Planet Ark and an avid climate change warrior will give the keynote address.
Many of Jon's achievements have become role models for international change and his presentation promises to inspire us all on what can be achieved if we work together with vision and cooperation.
The Forum Programme is available from this link.
Please register to attend this event by emailing sustainability@newcastle.edu.au or phone extension 17328.
The event will be chaired by Nick Saunders, and is proudly sponsored by the Academic Senate and Executive Committee.
On the day, attendees will be divided into four discussion groups (Please click links below to view or print a copy of the handouts.):
Each group will be given a handout that summarises the UoN position in relation to these issues. Participants will then be asked to contribute feedback, suggestions and ideas. All groups will have a professional facilitator and scribe.
Issues, suggestions and points raised during the discussions will be recorded and used during the development of the University's Environmental Policy, and Environmental Management Plan. These documents will be created over the coming months.
The University wants to make this a truly collaborative process by encouraging everyone to have their say and get involved.
