SAFETY IN TEACHING & RESEARCH
GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS

All research and teaching activities involving genetically modified organisms (GMO's) must receive safety approval prior to commencing. Applications for safety clearance are processed by the Health & Safety Team and those involving work with GMO's are assessed by the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) prior to the application being approved.
