Ongoing Treatment and Other Expenses

The injured worker should notify the Workers compensation Claims Office of all medical consultations and other medical expenses incurred that are related to their Workers Compensation Claim.

Forward any receipts and invoices to the Workers Compensation Officer for reimbursement or payment.

If you are attending treatment sessions e.g. physiotherapy, that have been approved by the insurer against your Workers Compensation Claim you may be eligible to claim reasonable travel expenses. Forward any travel tickets/receipts or the amount of kilometres travelled in your car and forward this information to the Workers Compensation Officer for reimbursement. You will need to provide:

Tickets/receipts or total amount of kilometres travelled in your vehicle
If travel was in your vehicle, provide the engine capacity of your vehicle
The date of the travel
The reason for the travel i.e. attend x-ray, attend physiotherapy, attend insurer medical examination
