HEW Level 5 and greater OR if the combination of salary and superannuable allowances equate to HEW Level 5 salary rate or greater
The requirement to contribute to an approved superannuation scheme is compulsory. If you wish to transfer your membership of SSS or SASS, you must complete an exit form with your previous employer and provide details of your membership to Human Resource Services. Should you elect to become a full member of UniSuper you will be required to contribute at the rate of 7% of salary. A generous employer contribution of 17% of salary is provided under this scheme and additional voluntary contributions can be made either pre or post tax. Where research grants offer superannuation the above rules apply. If superannuation is not offered and the employment contract is for 12 months or longer the University contributes on your behalf to provide a basic level of superannuation.
