Future Plans

The CMS will become the primary point of contact for the collection, deployment and display of data.

Over time, we will seamlessly integrate all enterprise wide tools and systems and generate:

• Reduced points of login
• Improved workflow practices and process automation
• Elimination of data entry duplication
• Correct and consistent collection of metadata
• Accurate versioning of all content including management reports
• Comprehensive reporting of all usage through analytical tools

2007 plans

The web team has 25 major projects scheduled for 2007, which include:

• Information Architecture, metadata and common language project
• Priority Research Centre LiveSite website rollout
• Content migration to CMS2
• News tool
• Implementation of portals for the staff, students, Corporate and Community, Alumni, Facilities contractors, and Research sub-sites
