We offer a range of scholarship options to provide students with financial support while they study. Scholarships can include accommodation, academic, equity, or expenses related to specific degree programs. Some scholarships are industry-based, and some are only for regional, rural or Indigenous students. To receive a scholarship, you must complete an application. University of Newcastle Industry Scholarship Scheme (UNISS)
UNISS is an integrated program of industry placement and study across a range of professional areas. UNISS can give you a headstart on your career. Over the duration of the scholarship, you can receive a benefit of at least $50,100, as well as 78 weeks industrial experience with companies that have a proven track record in employee career development.
Travel and study that counts
At the University of Newcastle, we can help you explore the world while continuing your studies. Our successful student exchange program aims to give students an opportunity to study overseas and have that period of study credited to a degree program at the University of Newcastle.
Study in Norway or Germany for a semester, or perhaps spend a year in France or the USA. Our program is flexible, and covers selected universities in 18 countries including Austria, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, United Kingdom and the USA.
