Failure to attend a formal examination without written approval is a very serious matter and will normally result in a 'Fail' grade being awarded for the course. Misreading the Final Examination Timetable will not be accepted as a reason for failing to attend an examination.
You are expected to attend examinations unless serious circumstances beyond your control prevent you from doing so. If this happens, you should lodge an online application for Special Circumstances within three working days of the date on which the examination was scheduled.
If you believe you have adverse circumstances that mean you will be unable to sit a scheduled examination and would like to request that it be rescheduled you should lodge an application to reschedule the examination using the online application for Special Circumstances at least 10 days prior to the date of the scheduled examination.
Note: Offshore students will not be able to complete the online form and must to complete the hardcopy form(s) available from the Forms webpage.
You should also contact the member of academic staff responsible for the course as soon as possible.
