To enrol as a Cross-Institutional student you will need the following:
Students who intend to study full-time are entitled to travel concessions on NSW public transport. This application form can also be downloaded here.
As a Cross-Institutional student, it is a requirement that your home provider complete the ‘Home Provider Endorsement’ on the application. This will allow the University of Newcastle to assess your fee structure more accurately. Please also attach a copy of your academic transcript. If you are an undergraduate student you will be required to complete a Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCaf) online at myHub as part of your enrolment. If you are a postgraduate student you may apply for a FEE-HELP loan. For more information and an application please telephone the Enquiry Centre on (02) 4921 5000.
It is your responsibility to access information regarding course availability, timetabling and additional requirements for particular courses. This information can be accessed via the University’s website. The relevant web addresses and telephone numbers can be found in Section 2 and pages 10 & 11 of the Guide to Application and Enrolment. Please also indicate in the location column of question 7 of the application form if you will be studying via distance learning.

Applications for Cross Institutional study for Semester 1, 2009 close on 16 February 2009 and for Semester 2, 2009 close on 13 July 2009. As competition is high for places in some classes, you should ensure that you apply well before the closing date. Please note that you will need to choose appropriate courses from the University of Newcastle website and provide these details to your how institution for approval before you can lodge your application. We recommend that you allow plenty of time!
If your application is successful, and if you have provided a photo with your application, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment, and a student photo ID card. Your student card has a password printed on it, represented by a series of letters and numbers, which will enable you to access your current record of study by logging onto the website at http://webapps.newcastle.edu.au/exams/
