The University of Newcastle offers two types of Undergraduate places via the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC):
These places are supported by the Australian Government and were previously known as HECS places. A large percentage of the cost of the program is funded by the Australian Government and the remainder of the cost is charged to the student (previously known as HECS fees).
These places are not funded by the Australian Government and students must pay the full cost of the program. This amount is significantly more than the student contribution cost paid by students in Commonwealth Supported Places.
The following programs will be offered for mid year admission through UAC:
Note: Cut-offs may vary from year to year and are impossible to predict before applicants are selected for a particular course in a particular intake. The cut-offs shown in this table provide only an indication of the possible cut-offs for Mid Year Intake 2008.
