University Staff Induction

Induction at the University of Newcastle is the process by which you learn about, and become part of, the life of the University.  The induction process begins on your first day and continues in various forms throughout your early employment. The purpose of the University Induction Program is to provide critical information to you, and to introduce you to your new role. There are several components to effective induction at the University:

  1. Appointment Finalisation
  2. Workplace Induction
  3. Induction Briefings
  4. EO Online Self-paced Learning Workshop (This workshop was developed by a consortium of four NSW universities (University of Wollongong, University of Technology Sydney, University of Newcastle and Charles Sturt University)).
  5. Introduction to Senior Staff of the University
