Corporate Travel/Personal Accident Insurance
Travel and Personal Accident Insurance
The University's Personal Accident policy provides travel insurance for staff and students (see category below) travelling overseas on official University business. Note that overseas travel associated with Special Study Programme (SSP) is included in this insurance cover.
Upon booking your ticket you will be provided with insurance information and an emergency assist card (International SOS). If you are travelling in the name of the University, but your travel is arranged and funded by an outside organisation, you still need to contact STA Travel to have your itinerary and details entered into the Flight lock Traveller tracking system used by the University. The insurance information is available at the following links.
This policy includes numerous categories of cover:
- Staff (including Conjoints, staff of TUNRA and staff of the University on SSP and Accompanying family)
- Includes up to four weeks personal travel
- Students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate)
- No personal travel included in this cover
- Volunteers of the University

If a staff trip exceeds 180 days they should contact the Insurance team to enable an amendment to the policy to be requested from our insurer.
